Overnight train was surprisingly comfortable. Starting to get a feel of how racist Russia can be everyone of a coffee or darker complexion stopped and searched...thank god we did this part of the trip 1st the way me and Moonface tan lol.Arrive in Moscow to find the metro is closed. The fact that the latin alphabet doesnt appear to be used in Moscow is not a big help but Charlie works it out (clever boy) and we set off for the hostel. A small walk and a creepy road later and we arrive to find the receptionist asleep...too early come back at one oclock....great. Im completely parched so Charlie treats me to a coffee and he gets a bottle of water.....14 GBP RIP OFF!!Still we were hungry so the only place open was Macdonalds for a mcmuffin....delightful piss artists taking years to count out their rubles....grumpy Cari again! Off we go to see Red Square and that's where I get my first glimpse of the building made of flumps!!!!!best thing iv seen in Russia yet.
After looking at some more pretty buildings the cold finally gets to me.So we get another coffee to warm up and head back to the hostel to get settled in. We were sharing our dorm with two men from Pakistan, a Greek guy and a French dude. Next person we meet in the hostel is....you've guessed it another racist, who is going out for some people bashing. Lovely lovely Russia. Next day I'm feeling crappy...sore throat and a cold guess the weather is finally taking effect. Day three we went to see the Kremlin. Charlie goes to see Lenin and his waxy self. Apparantly when he died they removed his brain to test what made him so intelligent. Every few months they remove him and dip him in some more vaseline. An intelligent Swede told me that. Isn't really much more to explain about Russia cant say it was my favourite place but an experience none the less.We get an endless supply of noodles for the Trans-Mongolian and wait for our train. Very excited to be heading to Mongolia.
