Lijang

The old town of Lijang where we were staying is a UNESCO Heritage site since 1997. It has a history going back for more than 800 years.It's very beautiful and you could almost believe you were stepping back in time.

 We had a pretty lazy day today.Just a bit of shopping and looking around the millions of alleyways. Managed to pick up a late birthday present for mum. Also some postcards too.

We had a very expensive coffee where Charlie was adopted by the resident cat...well someones gotta like him hey!This evening we ate a traditional Naxi meal cooked by the family that own the guest house...it was delicious! and only cost 2GBP each so cant complain. Tomorrow we have to be up at half five to catch our sleeper bus to the border town with Laos...cant wait for the sunshine!
